We are going to...

Yes, it wasn't our first choice or even or second. But after much thought, prayer, and research, we decided Washington State in Spokane was the best choice. I am very excited and I think Josh is too, some days. He really wanted to go some place a little warmer.


I also have family there which is great! And it's not too far from home.


 I cant wait to go!

18 Months!

Lucy turned 18 months on the 8th.

And of course I've got to brag about her for a minute, it would be weird if I didn't.

Weighs around 17 1/2 lbs. 

Height 29 ins.

Her vocabulary is awesome! She is up to 100+ words (that she understands).

Although, her pronunciation needs work.

Simple sentences: 
"I want more", "I want drink", "I want milk",
"I want bight",
"I want..."
"Come on"
"No no kitty"
"you kidding me"
"here you go"

Some of her favorite things are:
books (she sleeps with one at night) 

outside

the alligator she pulls around

coloring

baby's
sippy cup (of course)
puppies and kitties

Praying
Out of the blue she will say "prayer" as she closes her eyes and folds her arms.
Sometimes she keeps her eyes closed though a whole prayer, usually a blessing on the food.


Potty Trained?
I say almost. She definitely still has accidents. Most of the time she's only in a diaper at night and when we leave her at a baby sitters. I usually have to tell her to go sit on the potty. But for the past little while she has been awesome about telling me when she has to go.

She has good and bad days.

Grad. School

Josh was accepted to these four grad. schools, the four he applied to.

They are in order of preferece

Skin Care I LOVE!

As an Esthetician, I have had and given several microderm treatments. I love a good microderm.

M2, the company I rep for, just came out with this new amazing handheld, personal microdermabration machine. It works just as good as a professional microderm. I have been using mine for only two weeks and I am already loving it! I can see amazing results and it saves me so much money.

This whole line has vitamin A, C, and E (anti-oxidants). And hyaluronic acid, this hydrates. (holds 1000x its weight in water) and also gives a plumping affect.

This line is anti-aging, hydrating, and is one of the best products to help fight breakouts.

The cream is to die for! First of all, it smells amazing! But that's not the best part. After you put it on, you can feel it working, not like tingly or uncomfortable, but a refreshing feeling.

Like your skin just took a big drink of fresh water.

M2 Body Refinish. I use this on my arms, chest, and stretch marks. This lotion rocks! My skin is so soft and hydrated.

A Few Things I Can't Get Enough Of Lately

Making a delicious breakfast. Especially eggs benedict and turkey bacon. (I've been doing this about three times a week, sometimes more. I just need to start waking up a little earlier.)

 Breakfast is one of the most beautiful meals.

Black nail polish

Reading the Book of Mormon. You know it's the most amazing book. I love it!

Melaleuca Access bars, and chocolate drink, are amazing! It turns fat into fuel and I get the best energy. They also taste yummy!

Reading one book a month

Melaleuca Tough and Tender. This is amazing cleaner. I clean everything with it, mostly my counter tops and I mop with it. It gets everything off. It is also Eco friendly:) 

I love turquoise! It is my favorite color. I have been finding the most amazing things in this color. It is also one, of not very many colors, that complements my fair skin.

I bought a necklace just like this one at an antique store, but it's plastic, but also vintage. ha ha :)  I wear it all the time

Of course Josh. Who could ask for a better husband and father... He helps clean the kitchen, change stinky diapers, with the laundry, and he is a hard worker. I love you!

and I cant forget my pride and joy.

Some days she makes me want to pull my hair out, but most days, she is the only thing that keeps me smiling and laughing.  Next to Josh, she makes be a better person.

The Wednesday Letters

I'm sure that most of you have read this book, but I got it last Christmas from my mother in-law and am just getting around to reading it.

So far so good, there was a little bit of a shocking part in the middle, but its all good.

An Apron Story

My mother always used an apron when she would bake or cook. When we would cook together, I was always excited when she would tell me to go put on one of her extra ones . I still use an apron to this day and I always think about my mother...

The principal use of Mother's/Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath. Because she only had a few, it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and they used less material, but along with that, it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.

It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.

From the chicken coop the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.

When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids.

And when the weather was cold, Mother/Grandma wrapped it around her arms.

Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.

From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls.

In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.

When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.

When dinner was ready, Mother/Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner.

It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.

REMEMBER:Mother/Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool. Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw. They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron....... I don't think I ever caught anything from an apron........but love!!
