Im a Little Late...

on posting my new years resolutions.

I only have a few, otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep track. Oh and yes I am very proud of myself so far:)
Something I've noticed about people, myself included, is that if we make a goal for ourselves and then we end up missing a day or  two because we forget or we get busy, often we will say to ourselves, "Ill start over again on Monday". I don't understand this statement, or to be more truthful, I hate this statement.

"Just because you miss a day brushing your teeth doesn't mean you stop brushing your teeth for the rest of the week or even the year"

Seriously, disgusting!

Anyway, just something to think about, don't get discouraged.

So that brings me to my #1 new years resolution

YES! Read the scriptures everyday... Okay I have been very good so far. I haven't missed a day... but to be honest, one night I only read a chapter heading because I fell asleep before I got to chapter one... ha ha

#2 Ive chosen to do Jillian Michael's yoga for my main exercise routine. I seems to be the exercise that will hopefully get me the results I want for my body.

So far so good!

And #3 As you can see in Josh's left eye brow the stress has started. This picture was taken when we first got to Spokane so you can imagine how its looking now, almost non existent... ok not really but almost.
So Ive been trying to keep home life stress free and peaceful as possible. I'm really hoping I can help Josh as much as I can while he is in grad school. I love him so much and I want to support him as much as I can.

Oh My Little Goose

The move has really been hard on Lucy...

A few things she has been doing lately are:
She yells "Go away, I'm leaving" as shes slamming the bedroom door. Of course I can laugh about this now since the only place she can go is her bedroom.

Josh is no longer daddy, he's Josh

She tells us she wants to "go by by home"

At night before she falls asleep, she makes me sing, at least 3 times, the "bird song", most people know it as "I Know My Heavenly Father Loves Me." And of course when I leave the room, she yells "hands" and "by me". This breaks my heart because she's telling me she wants me to hold her hand and lay by her.

Most of the time she will make up excuses so that she doesn't have to go to sleep in her bed. My favorite is when she says "eat something" and then she lists off everything she can think of. (pizza, cottage cheese and peachy pears, chocolate, cream, sandwich).

I don't really know how to explain this, I was laying on the ground playing with her and she decided to cover me up, with napkins. I don't even remember where she got the napkins.

Wet Wipe Clutchs

This is just a little project I do once in a wile. My cousin Molly gave me the idea:)

They are very easy to make and also great gifts. Ill post some others later, I'm doing a little experimenting!

Quick Trip to Seattle

We woke at 4am and left around 445am to be able to get to Lucy's appointment by 930am. Well that didn't happen. We ended up being 45mins late because the roads were icy and Lucy's tummy hurt and kept needing to use the potty. Yes she is FINALLY to the point that she needs a potty to go potty, this is a good thing except for this day of course. Well it all worked out, we were able to rescheduled the appointment for 1pm instead so that gave us a little time to tour the city.

It was a quick little visit with the doctor (after waiting for 45mins in the waiting room and 1 1/2hrs. in the room.) The best part was when he told us there is a GI in Spokane we could have went to... ha ha, seriously?... I guess it was fun to see Seattle anyway, we had never been there before.

It had already been such a long day and Lucy had missed her nap, so I was surprised by how well she was doing. They had to draw her blood and the guy that did it was AWESOME! He took four viles of blood and it took like 5mins from start to finish. Lucy did wonderfully!

Here are a few snap shot of our little adventure

Josh getting frustrated with traffic

Lucy finally getting to rest after a long day

Scary rest area bathroom... I was surprised by how clean and fresh smelling it was inside

Over the holidays...

I was able to get together will all my friends and there husbands. It was so awesome to see all the girls again. There were a couple missing, Natalie and Brook, maybe someday we will get us all together again.

New Years
It was so much fun doing the murder mystery with my family for New Years. They all played their part perfectly!
Don't you just love Josh in this one...

I think my mom should have got best costume, if we had had a contest. Little miss Pepper sang every time she talked to you... ha ha she did great!

Rachael played Mag, seriously the rudest girl in town...

Angie played a great Cha Cha, the beautiful dancer. She definitely danced at every opportunity she could get:) And wouldn't stop obsessing over Sherlock Tracy.

Joseph was the quiet, mysterious banker...

ha ha I love Enochs mask... him and his family all made their masks... He was playing the bio terrorist... ha ha seriously funny stuff

Maddi the Astronaut with a high IQ and obviously too good to talk to anyone.

Brett, Sherlock Tracy, the Homicide Detective. Poor guy, everyone seemed to hate the guy, no wonder he got killed off.

Angelene played a perfect Blondie  Fawn, the actress that was having a hard time getting old and didn't understand why she had to play the grandmother in her upcoming role.

Bytton you crazy Portuguese Chef!

And my father, Luke, the comedian.... he pretty much just smoked his fake cigarette and read a few jokes...

Toe Lock

Whenever I do yoga, Lucy loves to copy me. I think she did the toe lock pretty well, she even knew to hold on to the couch to keep her balance.

Monthly Reading...

In place of a book this month, I've decided to read all the Ensigns in my magazine case.
That's 13 magazines
I'm very excited!
