Pregnancy Update and Other Updates

I'm 37 weeks, I've gained close to 35lbs, I'm addicted to chewing ice, (pretty sure I annoy everyone around me when I chew it), and my stomach looks like a road map:) But really everything is going well, except for the fact that my blood platelets keep dropping. Which isn't anything to worry about in my case except for the fact that if they drop below 100 I cant have an epidural if I wanted one. I was a 109 two weeks  ago and 115 two weeks before that. And I just got them checked again today so with the way my platelets are progressing I'm going to be cutting it pretty close. Before I even found out about my platelet count, I had been talking to my mid-wife about having a natural birth, which is something I've been wanting to do as long as I can remember. So there really shouldn't be a problem right? Well I don't do very well when I cant make decisions for myself and someone tells me, "its going to be this way and no other way", that's when I start to freak out. Pretty much I don't like being told what to do:) I'm kind of a brat that way. Anyway, I would probably even handle this all a lot better if it was last minute and I was in labor and then they told me I cant have an epidural. But now I get to think and ponder about it and get all worked up.
Anyway, I know all will be well. My mid-wife is AMAZING and she says not to worry.
At my check up today, I was maybe 1/2 centimeter dilated, which is nothing. But next week she is going to strip my membranes so hopefully that will speed things up. I really really don't want to go over my due date. So I'm hoping, fingers crossed, this baby girly comes a week early or just before her due date.

Josh's last day of school for the semester.

Enjoying a beautiful Sunday and our beautiful tulips

I bought this bike and helmet at a yard sale last summer. $10 for the bike and $1 for the helmet. Best purchase EVER! We gave it to her for her birthday this year. She LOVES it and is doing such a great job! She just needs a little work on steering. But she is already getting better at that.

First time on the bike, she loves that she can take her Hello Kitty along for the ride.

She couldn't stop laughing. Pure joy!

And of course I have to post pictures of our car window. We got it all fixed up now but it was a pretty sat sight to see.

Birthday Party!!

The idea was to have her party at the park today, of course it was the windiest day of the week and over cast. Well it was beautiful outside until around 2:30 and the party started at 3. We did try setting up her party at the park but I figured it wasn't worth chasing plates and cups all over the park and having everyone freeze. The wind was TERRIBLE!
Anyway, so I called Josh who was still at the house, had him clean it up a bit and had the party at our place. Even though it was pretty crowded, I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

The party was circus themed. I had a lot of fun planning it and I definitely think I'll do it again when Lucy gets older. There are just so many good ideas I wasn't able to do for this party, but I think for her 3rd birthday it tuned out pretty darn well.
We did eat more than just cotton candy and popcorn, there were hot dogs, chips, drinks, and fruit salad as well.

I was proud of myself and how well this cake turned out.

Party favors.

Lucy is 3! and Easter Sunday!!

It's Lucy's birthday today and I feel like she is so lucky to be able to have her birthday on Easter! I remember as a child LOVING my birthdays. My sister Rachael and I have birthdays supper close to Easter as well and it seemed like we always had the best birthdays. There is something about this time of the year that makes me feel so warm and happy. I'm pretty sure it has a LOT to do with the atonement of Jesus Christ and the beautiful weather.

I don't want to go into detail about Lucy's status, but here are a couple things about her...
-She's 23 1/2 lbs.
-Loves to sing songs and has to have mom or dad sing to her before bed. Oh and the first three songs HAVE to be in order. #1. Little Bunny Foo Foo, #2. I Know My Heavenly Father Loves Me, and #3. Family's Can Be Together Forever.
- She is such a sweetheart but does not like to mind mom and dad. I usually have to take away or threaten to take away her toys. That almost always works.
-This is Lucy, me, or Josh maybe 5-8 times a day:
Lucy: Mom! (Lindsay, Dad, or Josh)
Me: yes Lucy.
Lucy I love you!
Me: I love you too!
Lucy: I need to give you a hug and a kiss.
*She seriously does this like 5-8 times a day. I LOVE it! She is such a sweetheart.
- Before we end any type prayer, we have to say, "bless baby sister and we lover her".

Anyway, I could probably go on and on about my little girly, but what mother wouldn't.

Bugs that crawl down the wall

We decided to do a little family birthday celebration for Lucy after church. Next week we are having a birthday party for her with friends and a way better cake. She is going to have a circus themed party and I am way excited for it. I'm sure Lucy is too:)

After church blowing out candles.

We opened gifts and had a little Easter egg hunt at the park. Josh ended up hiding the eggs twice because Lucy had such a great time finding them.
Thanks to all our families for all the great gifts!!!

She got this awesome vacuum that really sucks:) This Dyson toy vacuum is probably more powerful than my Dirt Devil.
